Christmas Tridentine Mass at Midnight



Parish organist, choir master, music aficionado and overall decent fellow, Michael Semaan, has provided the blog with the music selections for this years Christmas Tridentine Mass at midnight at St. Joseph.

If you cannot make this Mass, the music program will be repeated on the Feast of the Epiphany January 8, 2012 with the prelude starting at 9:10 a.m.

Archdiocese announces recommended parish closures, consolidations

Here is an excerpt form the Archdiocese report concerning the next phase of "Together in Faith;"

• One of three churches that dominate the near-downtown Detroit skyline along I-75 -- Sweetest Heart of Mary, St. Josaphat and St. Joseph near Eastern Market -- should plan to close.
